Sara Pyne, Violin II

Sara Pyne began playing the violin at age 9 and studied with Robin Baldino, Raphael Spiro and Carol Winters. She performed with the Portland Youth Philharmonic from 1999 through 2003 during which she toured New Zealand and Australia with the orchestra. She joined PCSO in 2002 and has loved having the opportunity to perform some of her favorite repertoire including Beethoven's 6th and 7th Symphonies.

Along with performing in the PCSO, Vancouver Symphony and Portland Festival Symphony, Sara works as an assistant in the Oregon Symphony library, teaches violin, and is enjoying her new role as the PCSO librarian. She also enjoys cooking, traveling, painting, playing for worship at her church, performing with her twin sister and is an avid NASCAR fan.
