Lily Burton is originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee. She began
to study piano at age four and violin at age 12 in her elementary school strings class.
She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Cincinnati and a Masters degree
from the Cleveland Institute of Music, both in violin performance. She has been a
participant at Tanglewood, Blossom, and Cabrillo Music Festivals, and has been a member
of the Honolulu Symphony, Atlanta Symphony, and the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra. She
formerly taught strings classes in the public schools in Corvallis, Oregon and currently
enjoys teaching private students. She and her husband Greg have three daughters and a cat.
