Dagny Rask Regan was born and lives in NE Portland. She attended Alameda
Grade School, Grant High School, and then Oregon State University. She has her Music Education
Degree from OSU and teaches the double reeds (oboe and bassoon) privately.
Dagny not only plays for Columbia Symphony, but also Portland's Festival Symphony Orchestra, the
Oregon Chamber Players, Bach Cantata Choir Orchestra, and the Portland Community Wind Band. She
has played for the Oregon Symphonic Band, as well as has subbed for the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra
and the Newport Symphony Orchestra. Dagny plays in two quintets, a trio called the Double Reed Divas,
and actively free lances all around the Portland Metro area.
Dagny's husband, Mike Regan, is a middle school band director in Gresham and a
professional bass player for the Crazy 8s, and they have a son, Kenny who also
plays the oboe and attends Grant High School.
