Mike Romanaggi, Principal Percussion

Mike is currently principal percussionist with the Columbia Symphony Orchestra. He has been playing with the symphony since 1990.

Mike holds a degree in Percussion Performance and Music Education from the University of Oregon and a Masters degree from Lewis and Clark College. He has performed with Vancouver Symphony, Portland Opera, Festival Symphony, Yaquina Bay Symphony and the Oregon Symphony Pops Orchestra. Mike has also played drumset with various rock and blues groups in the Portland area.

Mike is currently the music teacher at Jason Lee Elementary School in Portland. He is also an avid runner and enjoys running half marathons around the North West. Mike just returned from a safari trip in Africa.
