Jill Torberson, Horn II

Jill has been a member of CSO for 16 seasons. She also plays in several other groups including the Rose City Chamber Orchestra, Linfield Chamber Orchestra, Bravo!, Vancouver Symphony, Portland Festival Symphony, and many others. She is an active free-lance musician and enjoys the musician's life.

Jill is also a visual artist, currently working in steel. Her sculpture can be seen at the Contemporary Crafts Gallery in Portland, Dig in the Pearl, and the Maryhill Museum of Art in Goldendale, Washington, where one of her sculptures remains in the permanent collection of the museum. Many say that her sculptures have a very musical feel to them, which is no wonder, as music plays a major part in her life.
