Dingding Wang joined the Portland Columbia Symphony Orchestra
in September 2005. Prior to her arrival in Portland, she was a member of
Alexandra Symphony in Washington DC area for two years and also
played in National Orchestral Institute from 1999 to 2001.
Originally from China, Dingding attended Sichuan Conservatory of
Music and received her bachelor's degree there. In 2002, she received
master's degree in violin performance from the University of Maryland.
Her main teachers have been Gerald Fischbach, Arnold Steinhart,
Qing Li. Dingding was also a successful violin teacher in DC metropolitan
area. She has been the principal violin teacher and jury in DC
Youth Orchestra and currently is running a successful violin private
studio in Portland area.
